Asil Anom

Students of the Craft Shack Group created "Asil Anom" (Mona Lisa anagram). This activity is part of Environmental respect since all the materials used were the leftovers from previous activities. No new material was bought and the result is a mosaic of the famous painting. Each student had to use any material that was left (considered trash) to cover two A4 paper, then all the papers were glued together and plastic caps where used as a frame.

Mascots

We welcomed Pepe and Pepa the two Spanish little monster mascots which were constructed by the students of the Spanish school. These two beautiful monsters aim to help students understand the importance of respect on diversity regardless of looks. Pepe and Pepa will take part in activities on respect and the photos taken during these activities will be placed in the personal diary that accompanies the mascots. The two mascots will remain to our school until the end of the school year while our school mascot will be in Poland for the same period.

Students Trip to Spain

Six schoolgirls (6th Grade) traveled to Spain to the School El Ejido Almeria, accompanied by two school teachers. The students had the chance to get to know local culture by visiting museums, historical monuments and participating in lessons of 5th and 6th grade classes and learning flamenco. They were accommodated by two families for two afternoons where they had joyful time and participated in several activities in relation to our theme. They visited bio greenhouses and learned about biological ways to preserve plants and had the chance to plant their own seeds in pots and placed them in the school's inner corridor.  Our students in collaboration with other students from Poland, Spain and Bulgaria created the Respect Dictionary in five languages (English, Greek, Bulgarian, Polish, Spanish) on A0 paper which where placed outside the events room of the Spanish school. Another activity that our students participated was to use graffiti on the school's gym outer wall and play in mixed groups the game "Games without frontiers". During the trip there was a mascot exchange between the schools and the mascots will travel every 3 months to a different collaborating country and used for school activities on Respect.
