Students Trip to Spain

Six schoolgirls (6th Grade) traveled to Spain to the School El Ejido Almeria, accompanied by two school teachers. The students had the chance to get to know local culture by visiting museums, historical monuments and participating in lessons of 5th and 6th grade classes and learning flamenco. They were accommodated by two families for two afternoons where they had joyful time and participated in several activities in relation to our theme. They visited bio greenhouses and learned about biological ways to preserve plants and had the chance to plant their own seeds in pots and placed them in the school's inner corridor.  Our students in collaboration with other students from Poland, Spain and Bulgaria created the Respect Dictionary in five languages (English, Greek, Bulgarian, Polish, Spanish) on A0 paper which where placed outside the events room of the Spanish school. Another activity that our students participated was to use graffiti on the school's gym outer wall and play in mixed groups the game "Games without frontiers". During the trip there was a mascot exchange between the schools and the mascots will travel every 3 months to a different collaborating country and used for school activities on Respect.
